The LGF has been developed to facilitate pre-cannulated branched and fenestrated endovascular aortic repair, f/b-EVAR. The LGF secures the position of a guidewire in the target artery. This allows a graft delivery system with pre-lined catheters to be railroaded into position over multiple guidewires.

Simulated pararenal pre-cannulated f-EVAR in pig-model

The LGF concept for branch and fenestrated repair can be applied to different situations. Here is a simulated pararenal repair in a pig- and bench model.

The small aortic dimension in the pig, about 15mm, ruled out the use of a conventional aortic graft. An iliac leg extension stentgraft was used and modified in-house.
